Art Fundamental
YMM boasts a systematic early childhood art education curriculum, developed over many years by the Yangmeihong Art Education Research Institute (CRI). Following the spiral progression principle of art learning, the curriculum is structured with specialized classes based on students' age, physical and psychological development, characteristics, and goals, making it suitable for long-term learning for children aged 2 to 18.
Compulsory Courses – These are comprehensive courses divided according to students' psychological age, enabling them to learn all aspects of art and comprehensively cultivate their aesthetic appreciation and creative thinking abilities.
Miro（age 3）
A fun and engaging parent-child early childhood education class to cultivate children's artistic interests and social skills.
To foster creativity and artistic interests in both parents and children through fun and creative games. Children will develop basic social skills by interacting, learning, and communicating with peers, teachers, and parents. The course helps children discover colors, touch shapes, express emotions, make musical associations, and improve physical coordination, thereby nurturing early intellectual development.
Spring Paddy（age 4-5）
Teaching features: Transition from parent-child enlightenment to independent creation. Experience classes that try various art forms, enrich students' artistic imagination and cultivate students' self-confidence.
Course content: gouache painting, watercolor painting, acrylic painting, clay sculpture, ink painting, printmaking, comprehensive material collage, etc.
Picasso（age 6-9）
This course focuses on strengthening children’s techniques by teaching technical skills through lively lessons. This class aims to enhance students’ desire to create independently, to use their imagination towards specific artistic interests and to provide them with the tools to truly express themselves. Once students are equipped with the appropriate skills, they will feel confident in transforming their ideas, combined with individual personality, into tangible art pieces.
Creative（age 9+）
Developed by senior artist instructors, this class aims to inspire students' artistic ideas from all angles to fully stimulate students' creativity. Students are encouraged to courageously complete meaningful artworks with distinctive personal voice.
Class Objective: Focused on innovation and ability to independently create artworks in order to improve overall artistic development.
Chistyakov Art Fundamental（age 10+）
Students in our Chistiakov class will gain confidence in artistic creation by practicing many art fundamental skills; this class also sets the base for any other art interests.
Class Objective: By studying formal life-drawing, color-theory and other art fundamental knowledge and skills, students will gain confidence in translating their ideas to actual forms. This class also trains students' observational skill, provide more ways of self-expression and elevate students' analytical skill.
